                    October Calendar of Events

October 2,9,16,23,30, 7am-noon: Watertown Farmers Market. The market offers healthy foods that include meats, cheeses, honey, produce and more. In addition, shoppers will find beautiful plants and flowers, décor, and more! Riverside Park.

October 4,11,18,25, 3pm-6pm: Garden Tales Farmers Market. Fresh, local produce and more! Watertown Public Library parking lot. Every Thursday through October 25th.

October 6, 5:30pm: Rock River Rescue Banquet. Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 7:00. Great food, many raffle items, live auction, silent auction, games, gun raffle and their famous wheelbarrow full of booze. Please support the conservation organization found right in your backyard. Turner Hall, 301 S. Fourth St.

October 7, 8am-12pm-Watertown Fire Department Fire Prevention Open House and Pancake Breakfast. Serving pancakes, sausage, eggs, ham, milk, coffee, and juice. Advance tickets: $6 adult, $4 child (ages 6-12), 5 and under are free. Tickets at the door: $7 adults, $5 child (ages 6-12) 5 and under are free.

October 9, 5:30pm-7pm: Mom & Me Paint Event. Mom & Me Paint Events were created with an intention to make a unique date with your child. The class will include painting on canvas, music and fun in an exciting environment. Ages 4-14. Tribeca Gallery Café & Books. One reservation = 1 parent and 1 child. October 12, 5pm-8pm: Art on Main Banner Auction. The 38 custom art banners that have added so much color and vibrancy to downtown Watertown this summer will be auctioned off on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Watertown Elks Lodge to support next year’s Art on Main program. The evening will begin with a special banner preview party from 5-6 p.m. where refreshments will be served and guests can enter into a drawing to win a number of raffle prizes donated by Watertown merchants. The auction will start at 6 p.m.

October 13, Watertown Catholic School 7th Annual Trivia Night. Trivia, raffles, 50/50, and games! For registration or additional information contact 920-341-3193 or trivianight@watertowncatholic.org.

October 14, 1:30pm: The Towne Cinema presents the Sound of Music-a benefit for the Watertown Concert Series. Doors open at 1:30pm, Watertown Concert Series preview and costume contest at 1:45pm, Movie starts at 2pm. Lyrics will be provided so you can sing along. All tickets $5.

October 19-20, 7pm: The Watertown Players present “Radio Daze: The Halloween Edition.” The popular show will be performed in the style of old-time radio. The Market, 210 S Water Street. Tickets are $16 at the door, and $12 in advance at brownpapertickets.com or Watertown Piggly Wiggly.

October 20, 6:30pm-9:30pm: Parent Music Club Lite Nite Hike and Freaky Forest. Join Parent Music club for a candlelight hike and take a stroll (at your own risk!) in the Freaky Forest. Location: Brandt/Quirk Park, near the baseball fields.

• Time: walk opens 6:30pm to 9:30pm

• Cost: $3 children (not going through the Freaky Forest) and $5 for adults and anyone going through Freaky Forest: includes access to trails, live music near the concession stand, some treats for the kids on the trails.

• Available for purchase: Glow in the Dark Tshirts ($12); Smores on the REAL bonfire ($1 each); Concessions (chili, hot dogs, popcorn, hot beverages & water).

October 21, 11am-3pm: Bypass Farms Fall Fest. Come enjoy the day on the farm! Horse-drawn wagon rides, caramel apples, face painting, craft and games, small animals to see, lunch plates and baked goods, Fall decorations, pumpkins and more! Admission is free and cost is family friendly for food and the activities. W4587 Cty Rd T, Watertown.

October 26, 7:30pm: Friday night Solo at Lyons Irish Pub. Enjoy live music by Derek Byrne and Paddygrass.

October 27, 10am-3pm: Pumpkin Palooza. Come downtown for a family-friendly day filled with sidewalk games, crafts, spooky photo fun, store specials and more! Activities run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with the very popular Main Street Trick-or-Treat set for 1-3 p.m. at participating businesses. www.watertownmainstreet.org.

October 28, 1pm-4pm: Watertown city-wide Trick or Treat. Costume parade starting downtown at 4 p.m.
